Information on Oualidia, Morocco
Oualidia is a very pretty town with a regular market and many sea food restaurants.
Ten minutes away is the oyster farm where you can buy oysters incredibly cheaply to take away, or eat in a charming restaurant.
The town is just over an hour from Casablanca Airport.
Things to do apart from eating the freshest lobster crab and oysters include windsurfing, sailing and hangliding. It is also possible to rent a boat and explore the lagoons.
Safi which is famous for pottery, and the famous windsurfing town of Essaouira are only an hour away. Marrakech can be reached in well under three hours.

Oualidia is a very pretty little town on the Atlantic coast, an hour South of Casablanca. It is famous throughout Morocco for oysters, as well as fresh crab and lobster.
A search on the Internet will show that Oualidia has one of the most highly rated beautiful beaches in the world.
Les Jardins de la Lagune is a lovely development of Moroccan style town houses, within a gated community with a restaurant and two swimming pools.
It is 5 minutes walk from the above mentioned beach, and five minutes into the town, with its shops, markets and sea food restaurants.
We were one of the first buyers in Les Jardins, so we had first choice. Our villa has a wonderful sea view, and unlike many of the properties in this development because of its construction on a very steep hillside, is an easy walk to the beach. Many other villas require a very steep climb up many steps.
Walking through verdant flower filled gardens our gate opens into a pretty patio, with a covered dining area, seating 8.
Entering the house into a small hall with a shower / WC. There is a small simple kitchen. At a modest cost we have a lovely maid, Fatima, who is also a great cook.
We have a charming living room with Satellite TV, which leads via French Windows out to the terrace. Also off the hall is a Moroccan living room, with long Moroccan sofas so that it can be used as a second bedroom.
Stairs lead up to the Master bedroom and bathroom, which has a bath with shower over. The bedroom has a walk-in cupboard and is furnished with a King sized bed. French windows lead out to another terrace with magnificent sea views.
