Information on Tangier, Morocco
Tangier has a wonderful Souk and Medina. There is of course a port, with boats to Algeciras and Tarifa. A modern railway station connects you to most of the major towns in Morocco. An overnight sleeper takes you to Marrakech. There is an airport just outside the town connecting to most European cities and of course Casablanca and Marrakech. The motor system is now complete so Marrakech can be reached by road in a few hours.
Things to do, apart from eating in a wonderful variety of restaurants, include golf, tennis, sailing, windsurfing and horse riding.

Our apartment in Tangier is on the top floor of an old building in the heart of this artistic town. The Souk, the Medina and the wonderful recently restored beach are only ten minutes walk away.
Shops and restaurants are on the doorstep.
A word of warning, the flat is on the third floor and there is no lift. No problem for the fit, but this apartment is not suitable for the aged or infirm.
We enter into a pretty hall, with a small kitchen immediately on the left. The kitchen is simple but adequate, but we can also recommend using our maid to cook delicious Moroccan meals at a very reasonable price, or eat out at one of the many inexpensive local restaurants just minutes walk away. We know them all, and will happily recommend them.
On the right opposite the kitchen is a pretty terrace, filled with plants and with a dining table big enough for 8, which we use most of the year.
Further off the hall, also with French windows off the terrace, is a beautifully proportioned living room with a high ceiling. Charmingly furnished, with some lovely paintings by local artists. The apartment has satellite TV and a radio / cassette/ CD player.
Finally the hall leads to two bedrooms with a king size bed in one and twin beds in the other, and a bathroom with over bath shower.
The master bedroom has a walk in cupboard and the twin a small terrace.
